Application Requirements and Required Documents
The documents required for an exam-free university application in Russia are quite simple and of a nature that the student can easily obtain. Below you can find the details of each document and why it is necessary.
1.High School Diploma (Notarized, Apostilled Translation)
The most fundamental document for applying to universities in Russia is the high school diploma. The diploma must be translated into Russian, notarized, and apostille-certified. The apostille is an approval mechanism that ensures the international validity of the document and is issued by governorates in Turkey. If you have not yet graduated, a provisional application can be made with a graduation certificate or student certificate; your diploma can be submitted after graduation.
2.High School Transcript (Grade Record)
The transcript document showing the courses you took and your grades throughout high school is used by the university to evaluate your academic level. The transcript must also be submitted with an apostilled and notarized Russian translation, like the diploma. Generally, a grade point average of 70 and above is considered sufficient, although some prestigious universities may request higher averages.
3.Passport (Valid for at Least 2 Years)
A valid passport is required for you to go to Russia as an international student. It is important that your passport has a validity period long enough to cover the application and education process. A passport valid for at least 2 years offers a safe period for visa procedures and subsequent renewals.
4.Health Report and HIV Test
The Russian Federation requests a health report and HIV test result from international students entering the country. This report is requested in order to document that the student does not carry a contagious disease and can continue the education process in a healthy manner. The report must have been obtained within the last 3 months and certified with an apostille.
5.Passport Photos (6 Pieces)
Six passport-size photos are required for the application form, student ID, and other official procedures. The photos are expected to have been taken within the last 6 months, with a white background and sharp. These photos will be used during the enrollment process.
